I absolutely love this, the colours are brilliant, although there could be more shading on his upper body and such. Still, love it.

I think I have somehow fallen in love with this picture. How the cool colors blend well together and the sudden red, it just makes it look really pretty. Lovely work.

For someone who gets seasonal nosebleeds myself, you capture the sensation here very well. In the spring, my nose can simply start bleeding like that all by itself in the middle of me sitting in a class, and people get used to it after they realize this is something that happens maybe twice a week until around the beginnings of summer.

Those under-eye colours, that nose, oh, oh. The colours of his skin, and
that look--you've got this way of putting such defiance in eyes, even in
a "boring painting."
And, you reallyreally should be proud of the nose-bleed, it looks good enough
and real enough to make me envious of Caleb. I love the way it lingers
on his mouth, and so delicately follows the contours of lips and throat.

i am glad you like it; very glad indeed. i'm pretty proud of that nosebleed; i was very nervous about it because it was the last thing i did; i was sitting there, brush in hand loaded with red paint and worrying about ruining the painting. so i'm very glad you like it.

i am going to do a watercolor one though. it's just, i'm gonna have to scan it at all the different stages and i never remember to do that while i'm painting them.

Ah, I agree with ~goodcitizen ! The colors around the eyes are very...eye-catching (unintentional and in any case poor pun). The blood effect is very good and I like both his crazy strands of hair and the slashy blue background. I wouldn't call it boring at all, there's so much to look at! ^___^
