Description The raptors are a neutral force in the story, and serve the role as the obligatory small carnivore threat, while the role as medium and large carnivores are both held by the tyrannosaur characters. I had to make sure they looked different enough from the troodontid characters in colouration, so most folks can tell who is who. There are subtle differences, like the much larger and more powerful sickle claw, a more robust build overall, and a highly carnivorous diet compared to the troodontids omnivorous one.

Thankfully, southern Laramida has an actually named species of raptor, the Deinonychus-sized eudromaeosaur Dineobellator notohesperus (dih-nay-oh-bell-ah-tor), so we don't have to play the unknown species card with this one.

Southern Laramidia really just was real life Jurassic Park, huh? There was a big sauropod, lambeosaurs, medium-sized raptors, crested theropods (caenegnathids in this case), triceratopsins, ornithomimids and tyrannosaurs all in the same environment. Ain't that funny? Same goes for the Dominion Prologue.
