Orion's reference sheet is finally finished C:This has taken such a long time to make, much due to my inability to understand photoshop : P
anyway, I tried to fit in as much information about him as possible on this one, at least what felt relevant to present on a ref sheet. You see, he is a character that is prominent in my story, and it largely revolves around him even though he's not the main character. He has much, oh so much more about him that isn't explained here, but that will come later on ^^
And yes, the story will be told in comic form because, as you can see, the explanation of his origin here is quite cheesy and it would be much easier to tell it in pictures than words. I can't really express myself well in just words. Now put the word "pistachio" in your comment if you've read this far :>

This is a really nice reference sheet, and I think this character is very cool. The idea of a comic sounds pretty nice, especially since this character has such a creative background

This is amazing! You say you're unused to photoshop (at least, here) but I think you did a splendid job on the colouring! I love the backstory to this guy and his purpose.
I also love his design. You seem to have put a lot of thought into it.
You make me eager to get my dragon, Lorreth's ref done. I think I'm the only artist without a detailed ref for her dragon character.

Wow I am simply inspired by this and in awe of this beautiful dragon. I love the compassion with a similarity of my own dragon. I am willing to make fan art of him one day but note I do not have photoshop sadly

I think it's mostly how his tail is much longer compared to his body. Also I see he has feathery stuff down his neck but the way you did it makes it look like his neck is thick (which you've said is pretty thick as it is)

I have always been a lover of writing and of a good story. My love for dragons and mythical beasts carries back even farther. So I guess you can see why I favorited this... I have never run across something so involved and well thought-out, not to mention original. I'm looking forward to seeing these comic pages... consider me an Orion fan.

aah thank you so much :3 well, Orion is my most important story character (unwritten stories FTW) and I am very thankful that you like him. He has so much more to him than what his reference tells that you can not imagine, as his whole history between the creation and 1936 when the story begins. Thanks for the interest very much! I love the story of Orion and I like the fact you personalize the stars ! I always liked the history of βBalanceβ, it is too why your dragon touches me ! I find the mixes of his anatomy is interesting! And his colors are pleasant. The signs on his body make a bit think of the Lacteous Voice !

pistachio, may i just say that Orion's design is spectacular and his story is also very interesting especially how its Artemis' fault he has to look around for his scale while a dragon on earth >.> the only thing i would suggest is to work a bit on the legs/paws as they look a little off to me. but otherwise this is spectacular.:3

I can see what you mean with the legs/paws being a bit off. Fffff I just noticed how his fore/hind legs are not equally elevated, and repositioning the toes would improve quite a bit

Hes a very striking creature! I love the way he has 'stars' on him as well as the awesomesauce glowing mouth. I love the fluffiness of the head crest
I want a glass ring! It sounds so awesome, pain in the ass to make though...
Over all I love the whole reference sheet and his story is really interesting.
