Hi, Deviantart. We haven't forgotten about any of you.
Also, this picture is entirely K's fault.
I had to revisit these fabulous baddies at some point. Surely I can't be the only one who only watched Pokemon because of Team Rocket? Forget the twerps-- they should have gotten their own series. They were that awesome. (Speaking of which, I've only actually seen the first season back when it first aired. I'm so old. LOL)
Also wut is anatomies and wut is colour theory
In my defense, I haven't drawn much of anything in almost a year and needed to just finish something before my attention span moved on to something else.---
Art is mine, characters are not 10-12 hours total on GIMP

Aww!! I know that feel.... although usually it's that I'm unhappy with how it scans/photographs (no matter how much I tweak it in photoshop) rather than how it actually looks. But yeah, it gets frustrating. :3

This captures the Team perfectly.James always had that smarmy grin. But I always thought he cared for Jessie.
Sorry this is so terribly late, but well done! I love the softer colour scheme you chose for them. And Jessie's hair is softer and flows with her here.

I totally shipped him and Jessie back when the show first came out. There were at least two episodes where I was practically screaming "COME ON! DON'T JUST STAND THERE-- KISS!" XDD
Jessie's physics-defying hairstyle doesn't translate well to a more realistic art style, unfortunately XD

I was never a big fan of Ash and his friends, so I would have to agree with you there. I only watched the show for Jessie, James and Meowth, in the hopes that they would win someday.

I really loved these guys back in the day when I watched Pokemon. I always thought Ash and his friends were such idiots when they would never recognize Team Rocket in their disguises.
Anyways, I really lover your detailed interpretation of them.
And if you don't mind me asking, what are those bright sparkles/dots around Team Rocket (and around Meowth)? They seem like burnt ash blowing by them in the wind or something, but whatever it is, I really like the touch.
They look great posing in the sunset.

For sure! Some of the disguises were pretty convincing (like when they dressed up as hula dancers and actually wore wigs), but others were basically a pair of glasses or a jacket over the uniform. Ash must have pretty dense if he didn't recognize two people he saw nearly every day! I never really thought too highly of the writing outside of the Team Rocket segments. XDDD
Thank you! The sparkles I've seen in a lot of other people's art (Charlie Bowater comes to mind) and to me it looks like embers or dust. It makes the picture look a lot more interesting and keeps the eye occupied.

Yeah, there were episodes where Team Rockets' disguises were good. I mean, I know there was one where James had realistic boobs on his chest! I want to say it was an episode where Misty entered a swimming competition... Well, anyways-- that James can definitely be dedicated to those disguises. XD
YES! Embers! That's what I meant to say! And it does make the picture interesting, and...kind of magical, in a way.

LOL I'm glad we share the same sentiments about how Team Rocket MADE the show. I loved their flair for the dramatic, their chemistry, and their resilience. It's a shame the writers never seemed to give them a break. I even used to draw comics where they became hard-core supervillains and took over the universe, just because XDD

They did make the show. They were always so awesome! They do never get a break. That was another thing that made them great, they never gave up even though they knew they would probably fail.

Ah, what good timing! I just recently [finally] decided to play Pokemon X too, so this fanart is perfect (even though Team Rocket doesn't appear in the game, they do in the anime). I always love seeing fanart from you, because you've got a unique style (both color and drawing-wise), and then to see it integrated into fanart is just awesome. I think my favorite part of this drawing is Meowth, because HE DOESN'T HAVE A NOSE hahaha. I love how he's depicted here because this is really how he would look realistically. I like the strong colors because they match the sunset. And I'm so glad that you decided to finish this!

Oh my gosh, I haven't played Pokemon since sixth grade, back when the Yellow version came out. I couldn't get past the first gym and simply gave up. XDD I think my younger sister beat the game, or at least got further in it than I did. There are so many versions it's so difficult to keep track of them! The new ones are X and Y, correct? Good luck with the game, and here's hoping you don't give up as easily as I did. XD
Thank you! Fanart is awesome because you don't have to come up with an entirely new character-- you can just use existing ones as templates and apply artistic license as you wish.
LOL! Oh yes! Meowth and his lack of a nose. Admittedly, it's difficult figuring out how a Pokemon would actually look, since they're animals, and yet they're not animals at the same time. Gotta give those designers props for being creative!

Haha, aww. That's okay! I only started playing Pokemon when Sapphire came out, I believe (and that wasn't even really me playing it--I just had some Pokemon that I trained using my brother's game). But then I got Black 1 and 2, and now I stole Pokemon X from my other brother haha. I thought I'd dislike the 3D aspect, but I actually really like it! And I'm about to finish the game. I just think it's really fun, but I know Pokemon isn't everyone's cup of tea, so it's okay! XD
I really want to do some more fanart haha. Just have to get myself to do it!
And yeah, you're right. Pokemon are kind of animals, but not really haha.
