not sure if it is a message, maybe a observation - that all of us have some place that we go to when we are alone, feeling sad or just want to have time to think things through, but we must always keep the door back open or we won't be able to come back (or something like that)
you have to come back and face the real world someday, you can't stay in your head all the time
Maybe it has more to do with children and their imagination, they can become whatever they want if only they believe
