Love the Spawn stuff. From what I heard it has abit to do with the lack of funds and how poorly done the movie turn out and on top of all that those who know Spawn's feelings for his ex-wife and Angel was epic and all but...Angel belong to someone else and the person left I think and was sueing for anyone who use his hot red head hottie Angel. That also one of the reasons why they never show her in the anime show just some asian lady that die in 2 eps later.
Thats about all I know so far but maybe google had more that I miss. :3

I don't know what happened to him. It seems like everything from Image Comics gets really popular really fast and then... all of a sudden... you wonder what ever happened to it. Spawn was as popular as Spider-Man for about 5 to 8 years or so. Then he faded away. I think his series is still going, but it's become an obscure series with only a small cult following. Oh yeah, nice picture by the way.

This, youngl whippershnapper, is a character that us old people used to read about. His name was Spawn, a man who died, but came back to life horribly burned and disfigured, and with paranormal abilities given to him by Satan himself. He uses those powers to fight against the forces of Hell that were sent up every so often.
He's still active, or at least the creator keeps selling the comics over here in Phoenix Comic-Con.
