Venom and Carnage are symbiotes (basically aliens) from the Spiderman comics that fuse with a human host body. Here Spiderman is blasting the symbiotes with some type of gun, causing them to release their hold on the humans they were possessing.Β

There seems to be a lot of confusion over this pic, which is odd considering this is Venom (and Carnage) and this literally happens every story arc they show up in comics

And the symbiotes not only give them their appearances as Venom and Carnage, they're also their clothes. The Venom symbiote can shapeshift into any and all clothing Eddie needs, or just take the form of his Venom costume. Either way, Eddie's naked underneath the symbiote. So if you blast the symbiote off...
