Bad Babysitter Babysitting can be stressful.
Babysitting during a zombie apocalypse might just drive you insane...
In the REMusicals and Survivor series, Claire has always been one of the more normal characters. She tends to be a voice of reason among all the stupidity the other characters showcase. But there was always this one underlying trait she had that I was very well aware of, but never had any ideas to make a main focus of it. Until now! As far back as the original Montage Rumble , I'd joke around in the comments about how Claire was a bad babysitter for losing Sherry so often. That wasn't enough material to span an entire video though, so into the montage it went.
But years later, Claire went on babysit another little girl - Rani from the Degeneration movie. Instead of limiting a video to Sherry and Rani though, I decided to make it a tribute of sorts to all the little girls of the Resident Evil series. So we also have Lily (Gun Survivor) and Lucia (RE Gaiden) thrown into the mix, even though Claire hasn't ever interacted with them before.
I actually got the idea and began drawing this video immediately after No Hope Left on April 8th, 2014. However the previous video had me a little burned out, so for a few months I mainly focused on normal artwork and a game that I'm creating. Operation: Opera and Rekt Evil were animated and uploaded as quick fillers while I worked on "Bad Babysitter" in the background. So imagine my surprise on September 6th when Claire was announced to be in Revelations 2... babysitting another young girl!
The after-credits bit was originally planned to be a scene where Leon finds a flyer for Claire's "Baby-Sitting Arrangement Association", then grins mischievously at Ashley. Quickly followed by him dumping her off at the office where Claire gets all creepy on her. But after the REV2 reveal, I decided to instead animate Rekt Evil first and end it with a teaser for "Bad Babysitter". I couldn't resist having Moira for the ending instead, since the coincidence was so unbelievably perfect.

This is just an idea I've always thought about since I first played RE2 years ago and I know it would probably never happen in these games because of censorship and all, but wouldn't it have actually been scarier if there were a couple of kid zombies in RE2? I know there's no way we could get away with Leon or Claire having to shoot little kid zombies but maybe if they threw just a couple in the small levels where you had to control Sherry (who can't use weapons anyways) because that would have been pretty terrifying for a survival horror game to see some zombies who were children like her and were sadly infected by the T-virus and couldn't be saved. Kind of like how in the game Siren Blood Curse in the one level where you play as Bella (who's also a defenseless kid like Sherry) and she's having to escape from an abandoned house inhabited by a zombie-like shibito family and one of them was actually a little girl like herself.
I'm really not getting my hopes up for this RE2 remake Capcom has announced but if they added a scary twist like that I think that might actually make me reconsider my opinion about them not being able to handle real survival horror games anymore.

Something like that could be interesting, yeah. I guess Dead Space 2 kinda got away with that, though the "kids" looked more like little aliens so they's probably how they managed.

Yeah, and that's like with Siren Blood Curse I felt like they handled it well by having the only zombie-like little kid in the whole game appear in just that one level where you got to control a kid character yourself and couldn't actually kill her (though she could still kill the little girl you controlled). Something like that for Sherry's playable levels I think would be a scary idea but I doubt it would ever happen in the RE2 remake knowing Capcom.

Yo, let's talk real for a second tho; I actually see Claire as a great caretaker, since she kept Sherry (and Rani...And Steve. Yeah, he counts as a kid too) alive through everything. Plus, considering that everything that happend to Sherry was out of Claire's control; getting sucked through the water system in canals when Claire only took her eyes off Sherry for a second? And then getting impregnated because of it? Nah. Same with Leon, we all love to joke about how an incompetent rookie he was, but he really, he acted like a real decent cop, despite no one actually giving a fuck at what he had to say. XD
It's fun to joke about their quirks, of course. But I just wanted to clarify this bcuz in reality Claire and RE2 Leon are like my faaaaaavs protags of RE in da whole wide world and they deserve mad love <333

Ah, yeah. And you know, sometimes people can have a hard time differentiating what others playfully joke about, and what people maliciously make fun of. Not that I blame them for not being able to tell the difference at times , it's a tough line to walk for what can be considered parody, and what can be considered mockery.

As for the content itself, it's cool to see you actually made a video about what you've always thought of Claire, what a horrible babysitter! Yo YEEE! Thank even, yeah they take FUCKIN' forever!!! But it's really satisfying once one's done. I just watch it like yo look, I did it me. I'm still lovin' the HD and Sony Vegas gasms. Luckily no one has really been all that impatient, like literally one guy who was just like "Your last video is already 2 months old make more" and I'm just like well that's precisely how long it takes to make a new one, ya fuckin' dunce. XD
And yeah poor CLAR!!! She always ends up in da zombie aDOCKalypse so part of the idea was to make it seem like she actually enjoyed it and willingly took her babysat kids on a magical adventure through one. Like what even gurl. Oh but the other girls are from the less popular RE stuff, pigtails is from Survivor, redhead from Gaiden and dark hair from Degeneration - that CGI movie where Leon had a stick up his ass the whole time. And yo YEE da winner was happy with the cameo and it was a fun event to host even. I actually remembered when a long time ago someone impersonated me on Wikipedia and had a "contest" to be in a video, but the criteria was to say "Why you like me and my videos" or some other ridiculous shit. And that was back when people were constantly asking to be in videos so what a fuckin' mess - But it's nice to do that legitimately and with a much less egomaniac criteria XD

God I fucking hate him, his character is so unnecessary, random, stupid, and gross XD I sound like a little kid with those insults but fuck him, he's only a few steps above Krauser.
I honestly haven't seen a ton of footage or information on REV2, I just know the basics of the plot and characters in it so far. The few pics I've seen I guess were official renders so she didn't look so bad to me. I've seen people saying she looks ugly or like a methhead and I'm kinda lost as to why. Like yeah, she aged some I guess? God forbid a woman ages out of her 20's.
