Description
6 inch tall replica of the Gyroid humidifier from Luna's Dream Suite in Animal Crossing New Horizons. This was originally 3D modeled in Rhino 3D, then printed on my Anycubic Photon Mono X resin printer as a smooth, basic model. The stone/ceramic texture was added post-print with some Rustoleum texture spray paint, then molds were made. The final piece is a resin casting with a little foam block in the middle to reduce resin usage, and then it was painted in Rustoleum spray paints, brushed-on acrylics, and a satin spar urethane clear coat. To finish it off, a felt pad was adhered to the bottom so that it doesn't mark any surfaces.Photo © David Reimer
