taking too long for daybreak add mechs to ps2 for sure they can work something out and balance the mechs also i hope they add more than one mechs like light, medium, heavy, assault.

also i think the mech in concept art looks too small judging the small figure i think this mech could be more tall i also think you could add more in the pilot seat like instead of this glass you could put a little armor there if a shot goes through this glass with a sniper rifle you dead haha

Is this for PC only? I was playing this on my PS4 (PlayStation not  PlanetSide) and never actually managed to find one

I had an idea for the name, as stupid as it may sound. "Sasquatch", maybe?

"Goliath, online!"

To be honest, I don't Think implementing mechs in PS2 is a good idea. Never played the first game but heard a bit about how the mechs "ruined" the game (can't tell, though).

What I can tell though is that when I play PS2, I play MAX (as well as Heavy assault when a MAX is not appropriate). If Mechs are being implemented into the game, will they make my MAX useless? maybe not useless... but surely it'll loose a bit of its role. Of course I'm still considered an Infantry and I guess you can't do indoor or in biolabs with this mech, but once outside, once out in the field, tanks are okay to deal with because since they are vehicles, they have mobility restrictions and aiming restrictions, but let's say a MAX unit versus a Mech such as this one in a 1v1 battle, Who wins? This guy has more health, probably more DPS, I can't tell about mobility... maybe the MAX will win on that aspect.

Though the two things are very alike and I think that having MAX suits is a more original idea than having mechs. They make indoor battles more interesting I think.

I have something to say about that, BFR's weren't that badly balanced mostly because of the reacquisition timer, but they were a bit slow and easy to pick off if distracted, and PS2 has something that is far more poorly balanced than that, which is PS2's version of the "Liberator". (Which is fast, agile, does a ton of damage, flies, has massive health, can use countermeasure flares, and equip auto-repair. Please note that like Liberators, BFRs also required gunners to be at their most effective.)

I have to say that Liberators are quite a huge deal... the only way to take em down is to fight them from the air... because even with a double burster MAX you can only scare them away... while hiding in the spawn room...

But once I've listened to a podcast where Higby was talking about the game, and he was asked about the liberators. He said something like: "After all, they are gunship."

It would be too easy if a lone player could get rid of a liberator on his own... let's say you got one dude in a double burster MAX and 2 dudes with A Lock rocket launchers... it won't take long before the thing fall... right? and still, this is a 3 vs 3 fight.

That same logic does not apply to tanks (1 person can easily kill a tank).

I don't see why Liberators should have that much armor. There is a reason people put together lib crews and just "farm" everywhere that doesn't have mass AA, because they are so effective compared to pretty much any other unit in the game.

Also, those 3 people with AA will probably die in a single bombing run, at least if the lib crew is any good. And most lib crews have 2 people, not 3, tailgunner is mostly useless and you can hotswap seats anyway.

Yeah, true... But one fighter can take down a lib no problem with the proper equipment and skills (which I do not have XD).

Though it is true that it has a lot of armor. A Real Life "Gunship" would be an helicopter... and you only need 1 or 2 rockets to take down an helicopter...

Anyway the point is, I would not be opposed to BFRs being added back in to PlanetSide. IMO it's one of those things that makes PlanetSide... PlanetSide.

Reminds me of some unit from Total Annihilation, can't remember which tho Other than that epic job! I think the info that you provide to each one of them would make them perfectly balanced in game and stay true to game lore good job!

Love the concept, but as a NC player myself, I imagine it'll get shafted by the other factions because as it turns out, being able to empty your entire magazine in the time we fire a salvo or from twice the range of our guns is better than being a little tougher and hitting a little harder.
