Why would NC and TR bother with alien technology?But,I am pretty sure that VS will bother.

Everybody wants the Vanu tech, they just have different approaches to it. The VS...have pretty obvious intentions; study it, use it, develop it. The TR want to take it, study it, make sure it's safe, then implement it into their own tech as time goes along (VS split off because they thought the TR approach to Vanu tech was too conservative). The NC just kinda want it for the reason that Vanu technology would really benefit them.

Well, the TR's view towards alien technology are of course to keep it away from the public for it is dangerous and unpredictable. Hence why VS split off according to PS2 lore. Why the NC are defending that? I have no explanation. Although if you look at the MANA turrets, there is a shade of tealish-purply so this could be in fact the VS and not the NC.

They're both probably making sure that nothing is inside it, or they are guarding it from the Vanu.
