Thanks, and can you imagine the sound? The first couple of launches, unmanned, didn't have sound baffles installed and could be heard very far up the east coast. Even with them for Apollo 8, 10-17, they were very loud...still the most powerful rocket ever.

this is phenomenal man! Your artwork is something else! It's amazing that they were able to put a man on the moon with less tech than what we have in our pockets or wrists.Β

Thank you! Well, the computing power was like that, but aerospace tech was already pretty advanced...they had ICBMs, Mach 3 bombers, etc. Still, I get your point...amazing accomplishment.

This was such an amazing historical moment for mankind that day. I wish I could have been alive back then to see it. But there's the possibility of the United States going to Mars soon. I'll definitely have my TV turned on when that day comes.

President Trump directed NASA to return astronauts to the moon by 2024, then a couple of weeks later tweeted that they should skip the Moon and go to Mars. Hard to plan anything this kind of leadership.

Sometimes he ISN'T one of those, but it is getting pretty rare. (Such a stable genius, who has the best words, and isΒ the least racist person you know, lol).

All in all, despite some of the dumb things he did. I feel that he has been a decent president. Not great, not terrible. He could have been worse.

The mythical, mighty Saturn V! I would like to go back in time and see one lift off.

It was a sight to behold.Β The predecessor, the Saturn 1B, wasn't too shabby itself.

True, but the Saturn 1B was basically five Redstone boosters strapped together for the first stage...good for Earth orbit, though. I will post a painting of Apollo 7's launch soon.

I didn't know that aspect of the Saturn 1B.Β It's always nice to learn something new like that.Β I can hardly wait to see that painting.

I remember it like it was 50 years ago! My little brother and I built Revell's models of the spacecraft and lunar surface during the mission. During the moonwalk, my large family ate homemade ice-cream and watched, amazed.
