...what is it ?? ....you ask the tough questions - do you not ?
..... there was this building , see ? ....and it had a lot of openings with some kind of metal like things scrunched inside these openings ....I don't know the back story on how this came about - or why ...........so I just photographed it ---- then rearranged it ...then cut up some letters from a telegram ( virtually ) ....and gave these little sculpture-like things a name ........I came close to your deviant handle with : AVA - EVE - & ERA ....but not EVA ( sorry )

As long as you were rearranging things, I think you might have put the items in alphabetical order.Β
Just kidding, it's a marvelous concept and rendering.

Full view is definitely required ... can't see the forms too well but the whole is much more than the sum of its specific parts ... fascinating ... my brain keeps trying to connect all the writing into some kind of narrative!

DouglasHumphries In reply to bizarreblizzard [2011-02-15 05:12:39 +0000 UTC]
...well ....they were originally in a building ( I reconfigured them later )...and required a telephoto lens to prevent too much key-stoning ....so if I enlarge them more they may soften up and pixelate somewhat ...... however ..I do intend to work more with these little accidental ( ? ) sculptures in the future ..they are fun to play around with ......appreciating your interest !

i think you can be subtle even when you paint unicorns
however passionate people explore the unspectacular tension
too many passionate people form a trend tho'
and that's why we have so many bottles.

It's not really pretty, nor is it colorful... but somehow, someway, this has become my favorite piece of yours! Kudos. It's wonderful. It raises all kinds of questions; to which of course there are no deeply satisfying answers. lol.
Man.... I really like this. The odd little shapes, the names and labels on the cubbyholes. I like the deceptive "institutional latte" color. A bit restful, like hospital pink. I'm a connoisseur of quirkiness, and I'm sure that you'll win a blue ribbon, a gold medal and a full scholarship with this piece. Most excellent!
