So ya, I havent done done dove in a wile so i decided to do her
i love dovely <3 this took 3 days on and off, so about 5 hours, gosh, i dident know i spent that much time on this until I did the math just now XDi like it...sure a few things arent perfect but i like it....Look at those puffy clouds i drew....
oh, and a quick advertisement here, Cheak out my new role-play group! Please it means alot to me

critique? hm... all I really have to say are the back legs are a little chubby. try making them a little slimmer, a neck should be slightly more visible, and add some more cheek fur. (the cheek fur thing is just my opinion, that's totally up to you. well... the whole thing's totally up to you, you know what I mean xD) other than that, I really like this picture

The back legs and tail are reallly quite fat which I think is a little... weird but other than that it's really cute ^_^

I'll critique this, but sorry if it isn't my best. I just woke up and I'm starving. xD
Let's start off with the pros. ;D
The expression and the clouds are the best part! The expression is very cute and Dove just looks so happy! I love it! And then the clouds have the fluffy look like they normally do in real life. Great job!
The white paw is also great, and so is the tail. The tail might be slightly too thick, but it's not too much to worry about. c:
Then the cons.
The head itself is good, except for one thing: Since her head is slightly tilted more towards one side, you should show more of a snout. If it was a direct front-view, then it would be fine.
The chest and stomach area are good. Like, you didn't make her too thin or too fat or anything. XD But the actual anatomy is kinda off. The front leg with the white paw should have the hump for the shoulder at the top near the neck. Then it would look more attached right. And then the back legs are too thick. You've got them in the right poses, but now you just have to make them thinner. c:
And the background itself is good, except the tree branch and the leaves seem a bit out of place. Like, they look sorta faded when Dovesplash is getting all the attention. It's good that you're focusing the attention on her, but the branch needs to have more depth. It almost looks like Dove was previously walking in mid-air and you just added the branch there. If you fix that, then the paws would look better too.
Overall, great piece, I can see that you've really improved! You just need to practice more with anatomy and backgrounds. Not the sky, the sky's good, but the other part of the background. XD
And her headshot looks great as your new icon!

i struggled with the tree branch, i couldent find ANY tutorials on how i should do it, and i dident want to copy and paste so i did my best, and the leaves too....

The only suggestion I have is to make the lines thicker for the branch. It's okay, though, I'm bad with backgrounds anyway. xD

I see. I downloaded GIMP and it was so confusing. I couldn't figure out how to add colors. Then I decided I didn't really need it anyways and uninstalled it. I use Photoshop and SAI for my drawings.

i find photoshop confusing, but i did find gimp confusing at first, i used to use SAI but my trial ran out

Photoshop isn't confusing once you get the hang of it. When my mom got a laptop three years ago, it didn't have MS Paint on it, only Photoshop (my mom uses it to edit photos). My mom said that I could draw with Photoshop and it just kinda went from there.
Yeah, that's the problem with SAI. I don't know HOW many times I've downloaded something that's apparently the "full version for free" and then it expires after a month. :/

CRITIQUE TIME! I think that looks awesome! The shading isn't in random spots so the light is shining where her front is. Good Good. The clouds have a painting like feel and it looks a little realistic! You really improved on the paws! They have a more cat-like look! The line-art is a little off but just keep reaching up, your almost there! But overall, it's Magnificent(wow, I can't believe I was able yo spell that word without auto-whatever!)!

This looks awesome! The clouds look awesome, how do you do that?? The fur texture and shading look nice too! My only critiques are her legs; they look a little chubby in the back, it looks like you forgot to finish smudging her paw and tail, and her tail looks a tad like it's coming out of her butt...

<3 (i did this on gimp) for teh clouds you get the doge/burn tool, and set it to doge. then take the doge tool and draw a cloudy type shape (on the same layer as teh blue of the sky) and then you smudge the edges of it. then do the same step 'on top' of the cloudy blob you just did, be carful not to smudge the edge of the first blob you did, you just keep doing that until your satisfied with its cloudy-ness XD

i'll take it, usaly critiquess dont "burn" me or make me feel bad, it makes it easyer to improve when i draw my next picture, with out critiques/critisisem my art wouldent look as good as it could be, as long as you dont yell at me it will be fine <3

ok then. first of all, the tail, its just a biiiit too wide at the base, the rest of it is fine, just the base is too wide. and then, im shure you alreadt noticed and wer just lazy aroud there, but the markings on the face stand out too much XD.
wow i found alot more wrong with this before but now thats the only two things. everything elts seems perfect! oh i think i know why i cant find all the problens i did befeore, yesterday i was in a real bad mood and i seem to be able to point out "alot" of problems in "eveything" when im in a bad mood
