Way back in the 90's days of Archie Sonic, there were these godlike characters known as the Ancient Walkers, who apparently could commune with Athair, Knuckles' great-grandpa. I found this part of Knuckles' backstory and family tree pretty interesting when I was a kid, and it led to a brief but fascinated interest in shamanism and aboriginal religion on my end. Good memories!

I'm not expecting too many faves on this one, but it was a good opportunity to fiddle around with lighting and transparency. And I was just itching to draw that ol' man again
