How do I make the icons larger for my desktop? to the same size as on the screenshot

TO change your icon size, rightclick on your desktop and go to properties. Click the appearance tab and go to effects. Change the USE LARGE ICONS button to a checked box. and while your at it, you should change your text smoothing type to ClearType.It makes reading so much easier
