The idea with the mosaic close button was that when closing a window is like breaking it to pieces if that makes sense. The above animation should make more sense

Aha! That makes total sense, now I see the hover states it feels more fitting in there. This kind of new approach is always welcome, for some reason, from some time to this part most Visual Styles on DA look more or less the same, this is, luckily, a departure from that!
