She seems so sweet. Your inks never cease to amaze me. I mean did you see what you did with the rain?!

LOL, beautiful work as usual

mmmmmm..... WHY drag out this process more then it neeedsss??

You are on page 11 but i only get to see a single frame from FIVE? GAH, your such a tease. I might have to buy it. Whats the premise?

Your pen technique is still just so good. Reminds me of old century etchings. It has a modern edge but timeless look.

I don't want to post all of it that diminishes sales. Just enough to keep people interested.

Hope this doesn't give too much away but it is basically about dealing with loss.

If you did a big version of this I would completely hang it on the wall in my den. That's just a beautiful little moment.

well composed frame. do you have a company lined up to release it when your done or will you shop it around? its fascinating to see how different artists market themselves, the amount of time and effort your putting into this project you want to see it done right i'm guessing.

I will be publishing the two mini-comics myself with a photocopier. Haven't found a publisher yet for my stuff. I set a really tight deadline for myself to do these books, so I could prove to myself that I have the dedication to work in comics. It's personal.

hey thats really impressive. I'm sure if you wanted to get it done by a big publisher it wouldnt be a hard sell. Butr anyways makesure u keep your DA fans and friends informed. we're gauranteed sales photo copy or otherwise.
that rain had me fooled too, paint pen, that really spoiled the illusion! some secrets are best kept

Well I didn't do all of the rain effect with the paint pen, it's about half and half. I don't really believe in keeping secrets in art, I think everyone should know what I know, so they can find a new way to use it and teach me something new. Secrets keep art from being innovative.

true, but the illusion is often a large chunk of the thrill for art appreciators. your right that its good to share with other artists but for anyone else as soon as the technique behind a trick is exposed it looses its magic. personally i love the mystery of the unknown and unless i want to emulate it i'll always defend my right to ignorance. being ignorant is one thing that i am truly good at cheers Darin, keep up the good work and consider this a pre order of either comic
