You know, until I saw this I thought of Menegroth more like a hole-in-the-ground affair from the outside, only revealing its splendour once you entered it. But this makes sense, somehow. Elves would be a bit more... pompous than that.

Yes it was, but I like to think it wasn't I hidden kingdom as Nargothrond, so King thingol risk I little more to the outside and felt secure by the girdle of Melian . I want it to make a mix of the grey havens and the entrance to erebor and rivendel but my imagination and inspiration got short 😋

aahhh.... I do love that concept you have - and it makes perfect sense that they would not need to hide and be secret so there could be structures outside the caverns as well. It is beautiful, so your imagination didn't fall short!
