Description
Lately, I've been dealing with depression, so after coming across a meme where you ship yourself with fictional characters for certain reasons, I decided to give this a shot to cheer myself up. Now, since all these characters are furries/scalies, I appreciate that you don't judge me, because I can explain with some of these characters, and while a few are non-anthro, they can always have an anthro form. Anyway, here we go:

Because They're Cute: Penelope Pussycat (Looney Tunes) - Out of all the Looney Tunes, Penelope is just the most huggable, it's no wonder Pepe Le Pew falls for her. As much as I love Pepe X Penelope, I couldn't help but sometimes imagine myself being in her embrace, fawned over, cuddled, kissed, and listening to her soft, soothing kitty purrs...

Because They're Pretty/Handsome: Panthy (El Arca) - This stunning panther girl from the animated adaptation of a Bible story would have been on the following reason, but I already have someone else in mind, so I put her in for being pretty. Even though she revealed herself to be on Dagnino's schemes, she at least didn't get punished in the same way as him and his lackeys, so there is a chance for her to redeem to the good side, if only, as she's very captivating and seems like a lot of fun.

Because They're Sexy: Bowser (Super Mario Bros) - What is there to say about him? It's Bowser! The most attractive yet most complex character in the Mario series! He's more than just your typical villain who kidnaps the princess, he's a loving father, an admired leader, and while he has his moments where he can be grumpy and mean, he's also got a sense of honour, humour, and kindness which he shows occasionally, and fitting as he's a type of dragon, he's just hot as lava!

Because They're Badass: Tigress (Kung Fu Panda) - I absolutely adore Master Tigress. Leader of the Furious Five, a skilled martial artist, tough-as-nails, and undoubtedly a badass who doesn't back down from a fight. Makes her pretty much the protective type when it comes to looking out for her own teammates.

Because I Feel Bad For Them: Sylvester the Cat (Looney Tunes) - Although at times Sylvester brings the misery and suffering upon himself when he tries to catch and devour Tweety Bird, I can't help but have deep sympathies for him as his chases often results in him getting himself killed, plus he doesn't seem to get much respect from the other toons, with maybe the exception of Wile E Coyote, Pepe and Penelope.

Because I Relate to Them: Kairel (El Arca) - I find Kairel to be quite a relatable character to me. Hopeful for love, check. Feels something for a special someone, check. Devoted to loved ones, check. Dislikes bullies and mean people, check. Peace-loving, pure-hearted and kind, check. Sweet and sensitive, check.

Because They're My Type: Applejack (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) - I only find Applejack as a cool and awesome pony as non-anthro, but if she were anthro, I'd ship myself with her. Besides being a cowgirl with a sweet, Texas drawl, She's strong, brave, honest, loyal, dependable, and I have an attraction for tomboys, which Tigress would also count, and a couple more girls we'll get to later on.

Because They're Underrated: Krusha (Donkey Kong Country) - He may be a big goofball who follows the orders of King K. Rool, but Krusha's like a gentle giant who is more misled than truly malicious. Plus, it's a shame that he and the Kremlings don't get that much show ever since Rare left Nintendo for Microsoft, and they've been underutilised, so I consider him pretty underrated since he deserves more love.

Because of Their Hatedom: Big the Cat (Sonic the Hedgehog) - I have to say that Big gets way too much hate by the Sonic community, mostly because of the whole fishing gimmick which is basically what his story centres around, though he does get to play like an actual Sonic character in Sonic Heroes. He also seems to be disliked because of the way he talks, which isn't any different to other characters who sound similar like Krusha, plus he's so big, gentle and cuddly, how can anyone hate that?

Because They're Comforting: Blaze the Cat (Sonic the Hedgehog) - This is pretty much the reason why I strongly ship her with Tails, because I love Blaze and see myself as Tails as he's relatable to me out of all the Sonic characters, and aside from being a tomboy princess, Blaze has been an everlasting source of comfort for me as I'm lonely, and as a lover, while I can't imagine her being so lovey-dovey, I can imagine she would be comforting, reassuring, protective and supportive, especially with the cute purrs like Penelope, which someone like Tails deserves, and for her to be shipped with a certain hedgehog who shall remain nameless, it's like a stab in my heart as I felt like my comfort and dreams have been taken away from me. Now before you say anything, please listen carefully, I have a headcanon in which Blaze is a few years older than me (her birthday's on January 1982 while mine is November 1987). And speaking of ships I dislike...

Because I Don't Like Their Canon Ships: Cynder (The Legend of Spyro) - Since my main ship involving me is with Cynder, I have created a version of her in which she's anthro and has a different backstory akin to Blaze, who is her mentor, so although far removed from TLoS to fit along with the Classic Spyro, her original TLoS still counts in a way, especially since I dislike the way the whole shipping between her and Spyro has been handled in Dawn of the Dragon, in which its fandom is a rather unbearable and toxic one as they go after anyone who ships Spyro and/or Cynder with other characters, whether it be OCs or canon characters, looking at the SpyroXEmber haters.

Because I Can: Vitani (The Lion King) - Yes, I know Vitani's a non-anthro lioness, but just like with Applejack, if she had an anthro form, I can just ship myself with her. Like Blaze, Applejack and Tigress, she's a tomboy, and of course, I love felines a lot, with lions as my most favourite, plus she's such a super cool cutie.
