Well there are two options we can go down.

Option A, Basic and it just evolves into Golduck and becomes one of Misty’s Strongest

Option B, where Psyduck becomes the new “Charizard” and give Misty the cold shoulder bit due to her mean behavior to him as a Psyduck for a while until they can work together again as a team.
