3/10 Commission for ~ValentinoSonic .For some reason, I could not stop listening to this song while coloring this.
GOOD LORD this took me far too long to finish! I've had it sketched for about TWO MONTHS now, but it took me this long to get motivated enough to ink/color it. I feel so bad that I'm taking so long with your commissions! I really hope you like this! I used some pretty cool brushes on it. I can't remember who made them, though.
I'm just happy I've got something to submit again! Hopefully another commission will be uploaded soon, possibly sometime this week, one for ~Sandexicutionist .

Thank you very much! I'm pretty sure this style of shading is called cell shading, but I have no idea why. XD It's what I've always done, but it wasn't until I got my tablet that it got easy like it is now. But now I've been doing it in Photoshop, and that's forced me to change how I do things drastically, mostly since now I can't use a fill bucket and have to color everything in by hand. But yeah, thanks again! I look forward to drawing for you when my commissions open up again- I love your characters. >w<

yeah im not 18 yet so i can't have my paypal account for another couple of months, so for the time being i have to commission everyone through this method haha.

i've tried to do it with my pictures but the shading always looks so darn awkward so i just blurr it in haha. obviously i'm doing it wrong.
and thanks haha, i have so many mood swings with my characters. i hate them one moment and then suddenly i draw one i haven't drawn for a while and they're my new favorite haha. x) im glad you like them thoughh

But no, I really love your characters! As far as the physical aspects, I just adore Gabby (I don't know her too well yet lol), but I mean she's one of those characters that I look at and I just "Gfdsa! I must draw heeer! o3o" XDD I know how you feel though. I see every body else's awesome characters and then I look at mine and I just, "....shit."

most of the time i use sai, but i've got photoshop elements 7.0 and paint.net

The second one helped me out a lot. It kinda makes you look around a bit, but it does help a little. Also, if you don't already, you should definitely try inking with Paint.net. That's what I use, and I LOVE it. The line/curve tool is so nice. What I usually do is put down the lines, but since they have blocky edges, I go in with my eraser and smooth out the lines. That's how I get such clean lineart. C=

Oh I just use the trial of Sai lol. Of course it ran out a long time ago, but I just screenshot stuff and paste it into paint.net, crop it, etc haha.
but thanks for the tutorials and advice. I used to rely on paint.net for line art but then I discovered sai has a nice line tool haha.
and yes i think your style is very recognizable. something about the anatomy (not that its bad anatomy lmao) is creative and different from others (:

Oooh haha, I do that too. XD Mostly for my animated avatars. I need to maintain my layers for my coloring, so I wouldn't be able to use SAI's line tool, even if I did understand how it works. XD
