do these work with manga studio 5 too?

DraconianRain In reply to otaku-neko-cat1103 [2017-03-29 05:41:04 +0000 UTC]
Yes. They are the exact same program. Manga Studio 5 is what Smith and Micro renamed clip to market it to the west. I have had a number of users tell me they work just fine in MS5. If not for whatever reason it doesn't work, it's just a simple option to enable or disable that I could easily show you. The option is hidden for ease of use.

My goodness that is amazing! Thank you so much also just a quick question: do I just drag the file into my workspace or is there a program file I should drop it into. Sorry for the inconvenience >.<

You're welcome ^^ Yes, you can just drag and drop it in. I think with the current version, you need to drop it over the tabbed area of the pen or brush or pencil tool. Whichever one and either drop it over the brushes or up on the tabbed area. Me personally, I created a new tab and labelled it Pixel and drag and dropped them all into there.
You can also import them manually. On the brushes panel tab is a little icon that looks like three lines like this only three >> = clicking this brings a menu with "Import brushes".
Also, no need to apologise. It's no trouble at all. If I have confused you or you need more help, please don't hesitate to ask. I usually do Join.me demonstrations for users having a lot of trouble with their brush installation.

Whenever use the pixel pen, it seems to draw two pixels side by side, sometimes one pixel. Why is this? Everything else works fine, so what I have to do is constantly use the pixel eraser, But everything else is Great Thanks!

Hi, this is the creator. This is a normal function of pixel pens in any program. It's never flawless. Turn up pen stabilising and it might help. Other than that, if you want something more flawless I recommend Aseprite since it has an excellent pen stabiliser. But you will always have to erase pixels no matter the software. In clip when colouring picking there is a checkered square beneath the swatches, this also erases lessening the need to change to the eraser tool.
A lot of timelapsed videos where it appears perfect, the creator is actually clicking one pixel at a time. I know it can be irritating but my suggestion is to slow things down a bit and take your time and plot out where you want your pixels. You'll get used to it soon enough.

if you're using a tablet, it could be a tablet bug. I have to have my pen touching my tablet when I start clip or it goes weird. Glad it's working right now.

You're welcome ^^ If they aren't pixel for whatever reason (though they should be), please let me know and I can show you how to make it non-antialiased. Good luck with your work! And I hope you'll enjoy my brushes.

I have never quite understood the "antialiase" thing tbh lol
So far it seems to be working though!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DraconianRain In reply to EveningDreemer [2017-01-11 23:48:13 +0000 UTC]
Basically it's like this. Antialias appears smooth or it can be soft and airbrush like. Aliased is hard and pixelated and draws pixel by pixel. Turning it on, off, high or low can make some really awesome looking brushes. It's hidden by default but it's easy to find and enable in Clip.
Also I'm glad it's working. I was worried since the latest update came out. Thanks for letting me know ^^

how exactly are you supposed to install these??
i unzipped the folder and have tried dragging the brushes into the tool panels, but it just shows me the little x telling me i cant put it there..

DraconianRain In reply to envei [2016-06-12 03:40:58 +0000 UTC]
You need to drag it into the Sub Tool panel. Sounds like you were dragging it into the wrong window. Also you need the pen tool select as you drag it into the Sub Tool Area. If that doesn't work, though it should, there's a menu bar at the top of the sub tool menu. It looks like an Arrow plus three lines sort of this only three lines >=. Click it and it will have an option to import brushes. Import them one by one this way

To the right of the deviation under the share buttons and fav button there should be a download button. If DA has put ads in stupid places again please keep scrolling and looking to the right side. You'll find the DA download button there. If for whatever reason the DL button doesn't work right you can right click it and choose save as. You will need something like winzip or 7zip to open it.

Next time, unzip the files then drag and drop them into clip studio directly. Glad you found what you needed though. You can turn off antialiasing on all the tools as well and use them as pixel tools. Sorry I couldn't be any help.
