Very nice work on the layout here, neat mix of mugshot and countryside scenery.

:LMAO: THE EXPRESSIONS One half of their face looks scared and the other side looks angry/insane.
You're making them as gifts then? Unless you finally opened your commission son dA, in which case I would like to get one for when I get a premium.

Yeah, derp face fault there. Luckily, I can rectify that mistake when I digitalise it.
The current rule is that if the deviant has made me gifts, they get one, unless I ask them.

I just realized I typed "commissions son dA". I also just realized it's lowercase letters for the emote.
That's a good thing. You don't want people to think Eeveewolf's character is bipolar.
Well, that's nice. It's sort of like an art trade then?

Kinda. But I'm doing it for many other reasons. One, it's interesting to draw other people's OCs in my style. Two, I want to practice some more CSS coding. Three, that journal skin is a bit of advertising for me. And four, we're good friends.
In this case, I gave the premmie, so I asked her if she wanted a journal skin.

Those are good reasons. I might just steal this idea from you and do it myself. Then of course no one would want a drawing form me. I never get any requests. Eeveewolf wouldn't happen to be that other friend you told me about who was desperate for a PM and you spent all your points on it?

Just keep practicing your skills when you can. You'll then find yourself getting the requests and commissions.
It's not her who asked for the premmie. I needed to extend my membership, so I used the Give One, Get One Free offer. I gave her it, as a surprise.

Do you know how many times people have told me that? "Oh, just practice and you'll get better." and "Practice makes perfect." and the like. I'm sick of hearing it. If I've been drawings for five years and I haven't improved, then they're wrong. I don't need practice, I need an art class.
Ah, ok.

Skills development requires time, patience, determination and resourcefulness.
Everyone is of different levels - time and skill. But don't try to compare yourself to others. It'll only make you frustrated and demotivate you when you don't get the results. Focus on the fact that you are you. So, think about what you need to do. And yes, going to art classes does help but also look around for drawing books and look up tutorials. There are plenty on the internet. Take a few hours each day to draw something. Stop aim for perfection, and start aiming for good. Good that your satisfied with. Remember you can always return to your work at a later stage.
