Alex was my first muscular female character,back in 1987-way back don´t you think?- She was created for an exposition at the end of my graphic design course.
They wanted a comic book and assigned me the job of creating a character and make a comic book for the expo.
I got just one month to do the whole thing and the pressure took the best of me. By that time I was discovering the wonderful world of muscular women,so I thought...what if I create a powerful heroine?
It took me weeks to design the character and develop a script -because they wanted the comic book and the storyline,too-
At the end I was unable to render the whole thing,but I had an idea. I ended the first four pages on the whole,then the next four was in pencils with dialogue and the rest were the sketches of the scenes and then just the panels. I made it as some sort of process. It rocked!
And was the most commented work of the expo.
Alex wasn´t my first character,but was one that gave me many satisfactions. In present times I´m thinking in a revival and this sketch shows an updated version of this much loved character of mine.
