Yes, it's in a pen. No, I am not against zoos keeping animals in cages as long as they are reasonable and their purpose is for more than purely entertainment or personal gain. The vultures had plenty of space to move about in this one -- not actually soar, but still fly. A lot of the birds could probably never be released into the wild anyway. I merely thought the title would be a fitting one here. And contrary to my portrayal of sadness, the vulture was quite content perched in its tree next to its mate as they observed us humans.
