This thing was a bit of a pain to finish. -_-

ALTHOUGH!

I LOVE how this turned out! Well, the faun's long silver fur and hair could probably use a bit more work, but overall, I am extremely pleased with this! Especially after spending, like, three days working on this as much as possible.

This pic allowed me to rediscover the WONDEROUS smudge tool! If it weren't for that tool, the water, tree trunks, and cliff would suck. It especially helped me achieve what I find to be a more painterly, and overall just plain better, look on the tree trunks, and the same with the cliff. The water doesn't neccessarily look more painterly, per se, but it does look better than without it being used.

Gosh, I am in fracking LOVE with those trees. <3 I think I may pretty much just abandon my previous style of drawing trees entirely.

I also love those fireflies/fairies/sparklies/whatever they are. X3

The faun may turn into a character, but he probably won't. Although I do really like his colors. They were partially inspired by one of the goats that I have in real life, named Queenie. She's small and black with a bit of brown and a little patch of white fur on her head that looks like a crown (hence the name "Queenie"). She originally had a twin brother who looked just like her (minus the white "crown"), but he died. She's currently our only black goat, and she and her brother were the very first black ones born. I don't think any of the babies she's had so far have been black though... Well, there was that one goat named Oreo who was white with a black head, but he's the same age as her.
