EDIT: PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR VALENTAE!!! THESE ARE VARIOUS SMALL ISSUES THAT CAME UP WHEN PEOPLE HAVE MADE THEIRS. (No offense to anyone who made one and their Valentae had one or more of these issues)

Poison sac locations and number are DEFINITE for ALL. They do not change. Of course, it is possible for them to be damaged, as in the case of 's Valentae, Kaeleb.

Also, they do NOT have muzzles; er, long ones anyway. Maybe I need to draw a profile view to show that their faces only have a VERY small "snout", meaning that their faces are just a teensy bit longer than a human's. Not really long like a dog's.

The loss/simplicity of horns does not affect their mate-finding capabilities or social interactiveness, unless you want your character to be embarrassed, ashamed, or have some other such effect.

Holy crap, this only took TWO days!

Anyway, I finished the Valentae reference sheet. YES, I WAS EPICALLY LAZY. That's part of the reason why it only took two days. No shading, simple illustrations where I only colored what part was being explained in that box, and the female Valentae... I just took the male, edited him to make him a her, and flipped her. XD Although I think it looks really good, especially for a ref.

On the Shoulder Tufts-You will recieve a note from me if you have been given special permission to make one with feather tufts. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for an adoptable with them to turn up and be really quick about claiming it.

Colors-I'm not a fan of bright neon colors and rainbows on characters, so they have simpler colors. Feathers can be very colorful, though, so you can color the feathers neon and whatever colors you want.

Markings-These can be any pattern you want. Of course, it's suggested that you don't clutter your character over with them, but that's up to you. The ones shown are just samples of what can be done with a Valentae.

SPECIES IS NOW OPEN! You can create one yourself, or wait for adoptables (although I have no idea when I will post any).

When making your Valentae, PLEASE pay close attention to the ref!

Currently, there is no limit on the number of Valentae one person can own, but I'd recommend only keeping a few. You do have to draw any and all of your Valentae at least once!

You do not have to comment to tell me you are going to make one, but it is appreciated. And whether you tellme beforehand or not, please do show me you Valentae! I may keep a record of them. That, and I just want to see what you all come up with!
