VW stands for vampire wraiths - a fantasy-ish race of mine.
As the name says, VW are vampires who got killed os died somehow and subsisted as a sub-material form, and got strong enough to re-create a physical body. Unlike normal vampires they don't fjust need blood to preveserve their flesh, but also spirit energy in order to survive and get more powerful.
This race concept was first based on Legacy of Kain game series and was developed to end up very far from what you can find in the game itself and it's expanded universe
Squee! Sorry, I know there's no place on DA for another useless submission, but I just had to do this.
I luff drawing them...and I needed a clear and explicative race-reference. Hope it might inspire some of you to enlarge our cookie-loving wraith family!

Im thinking bout some possible weaknesses/strengths
Based on all the pictures you have drawn. it seams they have more speed and agility than strength, also when i look at their eyes i see a gentle misunderstood creature with a close bond to their family,it looks intelligent, and curious.
Please tell me what you think of this.

This is one of the best tutorials I have seen. It actually shows the breakdowns, not to mention explains the important features! It just pure rocks! *runs off to get sketchbook and start sketching* You made me want to make one

Quite interesting, actually...
I have a couple of questions, though
Do you draw the leg below the knee indented because of the race or because of your drawing style?
Except for that, I find very weird that the sort of 'thumbs' on their feet are on the outside rather than in, alike some cats who develop an 'extra finger', but I suppose that aids the balance when in jumping position. Just a though that ocurred to me - If the side toe can be thought of as 'opposing' (as in 'opposing thumb'), then they could probably be better or at least could train themselves to grasp things with their feet. Depends, of course, of how much control and sensitivity they have there
How hard would the skin on the hand claws be, meaning if you try to scratch someone or use them to fight, using the term loosely, would that hurt you because of the sharpness of the claw inside the skin, or is the skin there rough or.... what?
Oh and you might want to pay a little bit more attention to the headwings as they're easy to miss on a first read.
I know these sound terribly nitpicky, but have in mind I probably will never draw these lovely creatures. I don't actually need/ask for answers to these questions... I'm asking them more so I can help you in completing your idea of their anatomy

Umm I'm not sure about what indented means... could you develop your question?
Oh, the thumbs aren't actually thumbs, they are additionnal claws that could not be positionned on teh inside of the leg because if they are the characters would just wound themselves by walking - jus imagine them jumping or moving legs with teh same claws but on the inside 0_o And it's not made to manipulate things with legs, it's made as an aditionnal weapon for leg-kicks to bring more injury. And the headwings are probably not that important after all, though they might be a nice touch.
