Description Colored version of Chibisuke Sketch 5 , part of a series of 5 sketches based on stills from the Dragon Drive anime.

Shading is a bit strange, isn't it?

I was actually going to try taking this sketch into Photoshop and using the Pen Tool to ink it, but I took one look at a tutorial and changed my mind; I'll give it a go next time. Ultimately, I just used the same methods I used in the Tod sketch.

I don't think this one turned out too bad... I'll be able to sleep tonite.

Done entirely in SketchBook Pro 1.1 with a Wacom Graphire3.

Aww, man. That is sooo goood. I think the shading turned out great, don't worry about that.

And I also want a tablet , *full of envy* What did it cost you?

Thanks!

Turns out white creatures aren't terribly difficult to color. (I still can't help feel a little weird about the shading though...)

I actually received my tablet as gift, but I think it cost around $100 at the time (two or so years ago). You can probably find it for about $50-60 now though, as it's since been replaced by the Graphire4 .

It does take some getting used to sketching a full-size picture in a box that is physically only 4x5", but once you get used to it, the instant feedback is pretty satisfying. Still, I find that it's not as easy as drawing with pencil and paper... just more convenient.

Wow, that wasn't to expensive. Actually cheap. But I guess you wont find it in an average computer store here in Sweden. Have to buy it online, and that means some extra taxes and shipping costs .

But again, the shading is great man .
