Description
A work in progress of commission for *Dawgjr of his dragon character trapped in a forest! Sorry again it take so long to finish this picture. I´ll move my ass and try to finish this asap! To be sure I am working on it, I´ll be posting wips. Today I did underpaint with acyrics for a background and I am going to add details to bg with Polychromos pencils. Here´s the first stage, pencil sketch:

Left like this, the dragon looks rather like a ghost or a spirit. Kind of interesting. XD

Dragarta: AHH now i know how you manage to accomplish these grand works without mudding them up, you seem to start with LIGHT and soft colours
I always wondered how acryllics and watercolour could possibly work, i never though you START with light colours... i thougt you simply pick up a pencil and draw... and wont add any colours on top of anything.

I don´t use this technique every time, but if I do, it works just fine

Ooh, this is lovely! I really like how youre brought some branches into the foreground, and how warm/rich the background is
Cant wait to see how this turns out!

It looks awesome so far <3 Why do you color the background first though? I mean, you're much more experienced as an artist than me and all, so that's a serious question, because I always, ALWAYS color the character first (if I color at all, that is -cough-). Doesn't it make it difficult to color the dragon then? o_o -is confused-

Taky pak charakter vice "zapada" do sveho prostredi.
