It looks really cool...the contrast between the eyes and the surrounding feathers and flesh is an interesting idea. But yeah, it looks awesome!

Yeah. The Phoenix's body consists of a yellow base, which then was layered with a reddish orange, and finally pure red. Then I used black to deepen the color and add shadows.

Thank you. I've actually never been fond of my coloring method, as it tends to take a while. By adding color, my steps in completing a drawing goes from 3 or 4 to roughly 7.
Still, I'm glad it seems to be worth the added time.
