It's super effective.Got this idea from 's comic. She regularly does Q&A's and in one =Natmonkey said that the protagonist's magikarp, Bright, had a look on its face that reminded her of a rabbid. Oh, and magikarp have a flail attack they can learn, guess Magirabbid just took a shortcut

I remember in the fact that you could own ubers with a magikarp with flail XD

No, Magikarp in Generation I games cannot learn Flail until level 30, but LeafGreen in a Generation III remake of a Generation I game, so Magikarp should be able to learn it in LeafGreen. But who would level their Magikarp that way without evolving? Gyarados would miss out on Bite, Dragon Rage, Leer, and Twister.
