Woooo, so many favs and so many times watched (well, for me). Thank you all, I appreciate itHeh, playing DA2 and well, while I find the game OK compared to DAO, I'm loving Varric. That scene in the game immediately made me think of Scarface and other Mafia movies, so here is my tribute to the dwarf himself.
As for why the face is painted, same on the posters. The head (and actually all the blacks) is not just black and white but a few different kinds of grey

Ah, there should have been a lot more 'scenes' like this... Like maybe Varric says he 'saw' Fenris cry like a little girl in front of Danarius, or how Merrill single handedly destroyed a pirate ship or something....

very epic. I was about to say that other characters needed these kind of wallpapers... but then i remembered how epic Varric was and the other characters wouldn't be able pull this kind of thing off.
The only "critic" i have (if you could even call it one) is to have the quote below his name in white not gray.

Yeah, only other character I can think of would be the Arishok. As for the white text, I tried it and it distracted too much from Varric and so I made it greyish.
