Because... Axolotls !!I started this sketch few months ago, and never took the opportunity to finish it.
Now that's done.
Glad about it.

You can get them at reptile expos and events, like Repticon.

This made me laugh! Last weekend we went to a reptile expo and they had other critters too, including some axolotls. What interesting creatures!

I had a few of them a long time ago, they're pretty cool, even though extremely lazy at times.
There are two things that i personally would've done differently if i drew this:
1) I wouldn't let those vertical lines go outside the tail area, because if you do that, it makes the tail look like it's a feather rather than a membrane.
2) I would've kept the original face structure, most importantly the snout/mouth size. I see what you did here with a tiny mouth... it makes it look cute, however realistic axolotls look quite cute with that giant mouth, so i think you could've done some cool things even if you kept the realistic head anatomy.

Thanks for your comment, It's right that they have big mouths at natural,
it's like they're always smilling. That may be a good/better artistic approach.
I'll think about that for a next Axolotl pic.
