I think you too look pretty nice together, though I must mention that this princess also has my heart as well. She and her sister are the only ladies in existence that I'd renounce my knighthood vows for. I can only imagine what it would be like in her presence and I only wish I had just a little of your artistic ability (even if only to create works of her and myself just for me to have). Self-inserts/original characters X canon characters are shunned by folk for all kinds of reasons. In some cases it could be the poor narrative or unbelievable story as to how the pair came to be, or simply because it's just not canon.
But you don't draw it to be canon or to contain any form of interesting narrative. You draw it because Celestia is your favourite, and bringing yourself together in some way makes you happy. That's all that should matter. Deep down we all have our little Equestria.
I've been watching your (SFW) work and really enjoy your art style. I love the way depict yourself and the respective characters in the medium. Don't ever feel discouraged by any hate. You inspire noob artists like me.
