really good!! I am amazed that it's only your second piece... but don't Phoenixes come out of the ashes of a dead one? Or do they really make eggs? dunno... wonderful work, though!!

Haha, good point! I think I meant it to be some generic fantasy-bird-thing. I kinda wish I did more sculptures back when I had all the clay and materials available to me... thanks for the comment!

Actually it looks really good to me. I don't think I could offer any criticism short of holding the piece in my hands and discussing the creation process. The pieces fit nicely together, nothing looks like it's cracking off or running down the sides. Is this terracotta? The most I could say is that maybe it could have used another coat of white(?) glaze. That gets tricky sometimes and aggrivating. ^_^ I really love it! Lol this was four years ago, so you're probably going "oh, God, why is she commenting on THAT?" ...Well, because I like it, and I like clay. And this is friggin' AWESOME for a second go at it.

Thanks, I really appreciate constructive criticism ^_^ even if it is for a 4 year old piece. I actually do not remember what this was done in; I haven't made any sculptures after this one, having pushed myself more toward digital media
Thanks for the comment!

No problem! That is essentially where my art has been heading. At this point I'm at a bit of a crossroads, trying to decide what I should focus on as a career. I really admire illustration and sequential art the most, but my choices are, for the moment, very and confusingly open. Sculpture can be pretty fun sometimes, though. I've been thinking about testing out air-drying clays.
It's mah pleasure.

Well it would make a good paperweight... in a non-wind environment... which wouldn't need a paper weight... hmm..

Well if its a big paperweight, it needs big paper...
Unless O_o is because you don't know what A3 sized paper is XP

Maybe its just in England...
A4 paper size is normal writing paper size so A3 is the next bigger one - it's the same size as two A4 sheets. A5 is a sheet half the size of A4. if that made any sense at all
