Description
So it's been years since I tried to draw a mermaid and I usually avoid drawing men as I can never get the proportions right, but here we go!This was fun, but I think I spent more time adjusting everything rather than actually drawing the picture...

I really like this piece! Mermaid (or mermen ^^) drawings always catch my eye, and your drawing definitely did!
I like the pose you picked for this character. I would suggest using more references and working on anatomy. You did a good job with representing the muscles and little details. Another little thing is that, the hand that is on his hip looks as if it's going into his hip.
The shading on this looks pretty well, I would recommend drawing more darker shadows. I like how you drew with blue colored lineart and not just plain black. I love the background and the merman's hair.
Overall, I love this piece! Keep up the great work, I wish you the best of luck in the rest of your art journey!
