I think (for me any ways) that by removing Jenny from the "Original" time line to where she never worked there was creating in essence Β a whole new time line or reality so in truth the "prime" reality (the sum of all realities) was never changed (why did I even mention that). The erasing of the "original" Jenny from this time line before the point she was ever hired then causes all events after the first comic to be that most never happened or that they were heavily modified to replace the missing pieces. In addition if the Asian woman in the first comic was really Jenny post-wish, then it concludes she was never there at all, so thus never hired nor made the wish, so then erasing Jenny from having ever existed in the in the first place. If that being true (to my understanding) the "Help wanted" poster should already been up according to the new time line, and that all reference to Jenny after the wish is in truth talking of some one who never existed in the first place.
(Please note if you are getting rid of a character in hopes of replacing them down Β the road, it is always best I believe to have their substitute(s) on standby for their entrance to the story before removing another, and then to soon after introduce the new character, so the fan base doesn't dwell too long on the departure of the first character.)

Problem with this kind of thing, is even if something, (or in this case, someone), is erased, their previous presence still leaves ripples of effect going forward that continue despite the lack of the actions due to removal. Time is all connected; that's how the travel of it would be possible at all. Actions still leave imprints; footprints, in a sense. Psychic/spiritual/what-have-you remnants. I think that's kind of what they're going with here...enough traces of the ripples/remnants, that the very contradiction of 'there's nothing, never was' along with the memory of the what-had-been, is what's pulling threads apart to create a rift.

Although it does beg the question; if she was truly never there at all, where's the mug from? Different 'Jenny' perhaps? Or maybe Sasha left a few loose ends hanging...
Which could be interesting later, if things catch up and there's more to her forgetting a few detailsΒ ^^Β since I imagine reality-change to that extent is NOT a mere 'medium wish'...

Β That's an interesting idea. Allow me to present my own theory, which takes it into a Doctor Who direction. You see, according to the show, every decision we make creates an alternate universe where a different decision was made. Jenny's decision, then, created two alternate universes: this one, and one where she chose to stay. However, due to her having been an integral part of Trader Lydia's timeline, she had unknowingly become what us Whovians refer to as a "fixed point". Because of this, it created holes in the fabric of this universe and left it unstable, since it involves, as you accurately put it, "someone who never existed in the first place." Since the story continues in this changed universe, there might just have been some adventure we didn't see where Lydia stabilized this universe so that they could continue to exist.Β Β

in the latest DmC, during a cutscne a white wig someone blows onto new-dante's head, making him have old dante's haircut (and due to use of light effects clothes colors) before dante rips the wig of and says it looks stupid and will never happen, thus proving capcom can be massively immature dicks to their fanbase...

My apologies for butting in here and for potential spoilers, but for the record, I'd like to point out that at the end of the latest DMC, Dante's hair goes or is going permanently the same shade of white as his original look. So maybe it was more in-universe humor than a true jab at the fans?

maybe, if it wasn;t for the style - even the devil trigger dante at the end still has the short cropped hair, whereas the wig was dante's old, much longer locks.
