Yeah, I love them and so do the honeyeaters! They come in other colours too, white, cream, and a variety of reds. I have a cream one in my flower folder and will have to upload some reds.

They are a native to Australia and come in a variety of colours. They're one of my fav native flowers...though I have many! I have this other one gallery[link]
and they come in some beautiful reds as well. I'll have to have a look through my pics...I thought I'd uploaded some red ones but I just checked and don't have any in my galler. Those curved stick like things at the top are the stamens that come out when the flowers fully open.

Actually I think you can get them over there. My uncle lives in the UK and he has some. They are frost tolerant but I'm not sure about snow!
