Awww....why do they have to be so cute??? We've had a rat explosion again this year. I've counted 14 of them at once and know that there are heaps more. They wreck the garden, eat everything in sight and what's worse is the snakes use their holes around the house.Related content

LOL....yikes,I think I read how Australia has the deadliest creatures anywhere eh.Even that little creepy fennel spider I heard about. It's funny cause my wife grew up barefoot in the country, and intruders and critters were simply squashed,lol....good thing she never came across those things.

I think you mean 'funnel' web spiders. We have tons of them outside, you can see their little web lined tunnels all over the place and as long as you avoid them you're fine. We do get the odd one come inside and they are EVIL! They will stand up on their hind legs as if to attack you when you get near them. I just squash them or cover them with a glass jar and wait for my husband to get home! We also have white tailed spiders that give you a really nasty bite. My husband and I have both been bitten by those...they leave a big lump like a huge mosquito bite that just gets bigger and bigger and then the flesh starts to rot, the poison attacks your nervous system and people have all sorts of symptoms with it. I got a migraine and ended up at the doctors for a morphiene shot. The idiot told me to get the bite checked out when I showed him!!! Well durrr, you're the doctor and I'm showing you! What an idiot doctor lol. I ended up making my own poultice that drew out the poison and got rid of the lump. Lucky I know a bit about herbs and homeopathics.
Oh and we get these other things that I don't know what they are...they look like a mixture between a centipede and a spider, so a long spider with heaps of legs and they move really fast and erratic...I just run away from them and scorpions...I just put a jar over them and get someone else to take them outside cos they are cute in their own way and not deadly like the ones in the US. Sounds like a lot when you read it like this but really you don't see them that often and you do get used to it.

...I can't believe all these critters you guys get, lol.Yes,you were right,I meant the funnel web spider, and I remember seeing a show about a guy who was bit on the arm by likely that other spider you mentioned because his arm turned infected and they kept having to amputate further and further before it stopped. You made me laugh when you mentioned how they are evil and stand on their hind legs when you get near them....sounds like it didn't work for them though huh
"...I just squash them..",lol
I applaud you ladies that don't scream or jump on a chair with critters in your home. You sound like my wife, although she never bothers with a jar, lol. These critters are quickly introduced to the bottom of her foot....squash them first and ask questions later, haha.
Your doctor did sound like an idiot,geez...good thing you were able to take care of it yourself and we've practiced herbs, etc for some time as well, and never drink city water(over 20 years now). Can't picture that other critter you're talking about though, but sounds creepy, lol.

Good for you about the water...we haven't used it for 25 years, it's full of flouride and chlorine. We are lucky enough to have a bore and rainwater where we live and the bore water is beautiful spring water. And yeah, some doctors don't have the sense that most of us are born with which is why I looked into natural medicine in the first place...and it actually works!

Yes,without getting into specifics it's helped my wife a lot,and we don't like the city water....but after seeing that clip on Chemtrails, etc it may be futile anyway with the other issues going on we seem to have no control over eh.

Yes too true...unfortunately all food is subject to the quality of air around it and we can't stop things from falling from the sky onto us.

In case I find the time....could I use your photo as a reference for a drawing? I would give you credit of course, and link to the photo and to your front page.

Such a cutie!!!
But when they're wild you'd better keep them away from the house!

I know what you mean....I think rats are cute too....however, I set sentiment aside when they got into my roof and poisoned them For some odd reason, they chose to gnaw my rafters just above my bed and scrabble around while I was trying to sleep. We sometimes get house fires around here when they chew through the wiring, so unfortunately, they had to go. Life is often sad.

Yeah, we go through so much rat bait it's a joke. I don't know why but last year we had a total explosion of them and the trend seems to be heading that way again this year. I have seen at least four different sizes at the moment and some are so fat they must be pregnant. We've had them gnawing in the gap between our ceiling and the roof through the night and it's infuriating. But the worst is what they do to my only little garden...they've dug so many holes and tunnels that the wall has collapsed.
