Description
Superhero Name: Fallen DemonReal Name: unknown
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 200lbs
Age: unfathomable
Former Occupation: low-ranking demon lord, represents evil done with weaponry
Marital Status: single
Able To Lift: roughly 100 tons
Top Airspeed: around mach 1
Sexuality: asexual with muzzle on (but still romantically attracted to both sexes), bisexual with muzzle off (but only capable of sexual attraction)
Relatives. all the angels in heaven and demons in hell
Powers: super strength, can summon any hand held weapon known to man to himself at any time, weapons get increased power over human counterparts (swords that can cut titanium, guns that can demolish buildings etc.), never needs to reload firearms, coat is actually part of his body and can turn into wings which allow flight.
Weaknesses: Fallen Demon usually stays on the ground in a fight because his wings are so cumbersome. He also has to be very careful when using his weapons if there are teammates or civilians nearby. They are incredibly dangerous, and the risk of splash damage is very high. Finally, if he ever removes his muzzle he will lose control of himself and revert back to a demonic state.
Personality: Fallen Demon is stoic. He speaks very little, but when he does people generally listen. He is very intense in his pursuit of justice, sometimes more than perhaps he should be, because he sees it as a way to atone for his time in hell. He often is not overly careful with his very destructive powers, and generates a lot of collateral damage, but he takes his job and the protection of innocents very seriously, so he will at least hold his fire if there are people around who could get hurt.
Backstory: Before he was ever Fallen Demon, he was a fallen angel. When Lucifer decided to rise up in revolt against God, Fallen Demon (who was then the representation of good done with weaponry) was one of those who fought alongside the charismatic angel. Once Lucifer was defeated, he and all his followers were stripped of angel status and were kicked out of Heaven. Lucifer formed Hell as a place for him to play God as it were, ruling over his own pathetic kingdom and accepting those souls that despised the light of Heaven as much as he did. The other demons were willing to live under his rule at first, but as the king of demons became more and more insane, they began to get homesick. In order to not lose followers, Lucifer (now known as Satan) began to emit a strong aura of evil that would alter the minds of the demons. As long as they were exposed, they would be incredibly violent, have immense sex drives, and live only for themselves and their king. They even forgot their names. Every now and again a hint of their old angelic nature would shine through, but it would quickly be snuffed out by the demonic aura. So it went until one day the demon lord of evil done with weaponry had a particularly powerful angelic moment and resolved to free himself from the powers that bound him. Since the aura entered into the demons through the mouth and nose, he forged himself a muzzle from a metal that disrupted the aura. When Satan figured out what was going on, he sent other demons to destroy the muzzle and punish the demon lord for his actions, but Fallen Demon escaped from Hell to Earth. He knew he had much to atone for before he could return to Heaven, so he decided to start doing as much good on Earth as he conceivably could. Unable to remember his name, he took the title Fallen Demon because of the irony of having fallen out of favor twice. He spent a while acting as a superhero on his own, but when he was approached by the US government with an offer to join the Gavel, he saw it as an opportunity to positively change lives on an international scale and joined happily. He even convinced Crann Bethadh to join the team as well, despite the fact that she isn't even a United States citizen. Because of his experience, he was offered the position of team leader, but turned it down because he believed that demons should not preside over human affairs.

"Thou shalt not kill." Number 6 in the top 10 Godly pet peeves. Humans who've killed are considered as having sinned, and in most cases were put to death unless it was by accident or in self defense, in which case they'd still be expected to make a sin offering and could even be legally killed by the victim's family if they didn't seek shelter in the "City of Refuge" until they died or the Judge presiding over their case died.

"Thou shalt not kill" is a mistranslation. The original phrase is "Thou shall not murder". Killing in a time of war or for the greater good is fine. Also there isn't anything about weaponry in there. Are weapons often used to kill? Yes, but not always. Is killing usually done with weapons? Yes, but it can also be done through other methods. So again I ask you: Where does it say in the bible that weapons are, by their nature, bad?

So... where to begin with this collection of fail...
1: The fuck does a muzzle have to do with determining sexuality? Is it a magical "I'm gay!" muzzle?
2: "Swords that can cut diamond." ... Not really that much of an accomplishment. Diamonds have a very predictable molecular structure, meaning that if you strike them from the right angle with enough force, they cut really easy.
3: Fallen Angels, aka Demons, have no hope of repentance due to the severity of their grievance. If you're going to pull from existing lore, at least follow it correctly. Also "(who was then the representation of good done with weaponry)." Kinda in keeping with what I just said, do you -not- understand God's stance on weapons? Cause, the general consensus is "Weapons = bad" thus making your bro a sinner from the very beginning because he used weapons. Also, who would he be using weapons on? Before Satan's little rebellion, there was no one to fight. There's just so much wrong here with your use of Biblical lore, I don't even feel like going into more.
In short, this is a pretty vain little piece of character self-puffery. Most experienced combatant on earth, more brilliant tactically than anyone else, apparently. Blah blah blah... same drivel you see from most people who choose to play as a celestial being.

1. It isn't homosexuality versus heterosexuality, it's lack of sexuality versus presence of sexuality. Where did you get the "I'm gay" muzzle idea from?
2. Actually, you're right, I need to change that. I had less of an understanding of how diamond works at the time. Then again, most people just tend to think of diamonds as simply the most indestructible things on earth, so I guess that's why I thought that would be a good measure of power.
3. First off, I'm fully aware that I'm taking a lot of artistic liberties with demonic lore. I'm not trying to follow it precisely, so bashing me for not following it precisely is an invalid criticism. Secondly, where in the bible does God say weapons are intrinsically bad? Didn't Daniel use a slingshot to kill Goliath?

I really like this backstory, because it gives him a real, believable drive to do good. Like you really do believe that this guy is willing to do whatever it takes to see good triumph, because he has a lot to redeem for.
Also; so if his jacket is his wings... Then how does that work exactly? Can he take it off? does he feel pain if the jacket is torn...?

He actually can't take his jacket off, because it's always attached to his back. that's why he doesn't wear a shirt under it. Yes, he does feel pain if it is torn. It's simply a convenient way to have his wings out of the way when they're not in use. wings are cumbersome things.
