Description
Thousands of years ago in the the tropical rainforests a dragon roams. To the natives of this land It looked like a flying serpent but, in reality it was a wyvern with small legs. With a 4 meter wingspan it was small compared to most dragons. Its vibraint emerald green body and ruby red tips led people to think this was the ancient god Quetzalcoatl. It hunts capybara and other mammals.drawing is mine

How could it be Quetzalcoatl if the god was depicted with feathered wings? And Quetzalcoatl has already been assigned a species: The Mexican Amphithere, Draco americanus mex.
And Quetzalcoatl didnt have legs, either.
That's why he was said to be a FEATHERED SERPENT.

It's explained in the description. Also, myths get garbled as they're passed down-that could explain the feathers on the deity, as well as not being able to get up close to the thing to check for feathers-it IS a dragon, after all.
