Thank you!!!... Things are getting interesting... Your Gallery has given the incentive to try to do a face image again... I think that I will use the Question "When is a smile not a smile?"... for the beginning... Β and see where that thread leads... Β should be fun...

... I think your images "Sensual". and "Julia" ... were what caught my eye first...Β  but they have top hatsΒ  and "Clicked" with some of the... Smiling, Clown, Predator, Lady images I have in my gallery... sort of a combination of Ballerina, Clown, Black Widow Spider... These images began as attempts to do something else entirely ... which looking at your images reminded me... I have yet to do... I do not know if this explanation of some of my thoughts is much clarification... but my mind is made of many parts and they don't always communicate even with each other... I do know that your images have taken residence among them and are pointing out overlooked pathways into the Unexplored Country... Thank you so much for that... it is a wonderful gift...

Well I have began again to do the "Smile that is not a smile" image... and again it is taking off in unanticipated directions...I will follow it to see where it leads...and... try again... many times no doubt...

One of the things I have been working toward I call Visual Density... to pack as much activity into the image as I can...The hope being to eventually do an image that takes so long to see everything going on, that by the time the viewer has seen it all, they will have forgotten what they saw first... Trapping them in an infinite loop... the second thing is to insert a subliminal message for them to send me Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies...Β  after that...

Nice movements. Make them a little more fluid next time though ^_^

Thank you!!!...I would try to defend the stiffness of the figures with..." it is a comment on Ritual"... but ... it wasn't when I did it that way...I just don't have that much energy anymore and I got tired...still you are right... thank you again...

LenoraTheYinglet In reply to Dragonforge [2015-06-09 13:33:29 +0000 UTC]

Anytime. I dont mind the stiffness. However I can also imagine this the way it is with more fluidity and that would be an amazing image. Just a thought for the future, friend ^_^

... Sigh... now you have me hooked... a fluid figure cannot be hard... people make them... and people don't "Do" hard... The difficult thing is to figure out all the wrong ways Not to do them...once those are eliminated...doing a fluid image "Right" will be easy!... The Journey IS the Thing!!!...

Everyone tries to gain total control but, with the limitless possibilities, it is impossible to shape the world to be the perfect place. Great picture! It may be my internet but, it kind of lags at one point. Still awesome! ^^

Dragonforge In reply to FictionFox95 [2015-06-06 04:21:57 +0000 UTC]

...just to complicate things... every viewpoint has its own perfection...

But, as you say, nobody can reach real perfection, only less wrong. ^^

Perfection is the Goal... Not the Destination... The Search... the Journey IS the Thing...

I see, so you can STRIVE to be perfect but, the actual level you could get to is the furthest you can go on the journey to be perfect... awesome ^^

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonforge In reply to FictionFox95 [2015-06-06 16:23:14 +0000 UTC]

...yes... the less Wrong we become ...the more we alter our perception of Perfection...

FictionFox95 In reply to Dragonforge [2015-06-06 17:09:01 +0000 UTC]

Kinda like time if you think about it, alter one thing, and you get an entirely new alignment of endless possibilities.

Stasis is only achieved with the End//Beginning...when ALL becomes POTENTIAL...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FictionFox95 In reply to Dragonforge [2015-06-06 18:49:55 +0000 UTC]

I see, so are you saying that Stasis is like the building block of different roads to take and once you finish them, you regain Stasis and it all starts again?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonforge In reply to FictionFox95 [2015-06-06 20:37:16 +0000 UTC]

Stasis is the end of all that exists...it is no thing...but has the potential of becoming all that might be...time is not linear...all of everything is just differing expressions of a single infinitely small point...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FictionFox95 In reply to Dragonforge [2015-06-06 21:05:03 +0000 UTC]

Huh. Never thought of that... time is a single thing in the middle of infinite possibilities branching out continuously!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonforge In reply to FictionFox95 [2015-06-06 21:48:13 +0000 UTC]

... in some sets... time need not be a part of every infinity...it is in the one we perceive...but in the infinite variety of the infinite number of infinite infinities... it is not... in an infinite number of them...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FictionFox95 In reply to Dragonforge [2015-06-06 21:52:47 +0000 UTC]

So time is only a section of the infinite that we perceive as time and space!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonforge In reply to FictionFox95 [2015-06-07 01:40:28 +0000 UTC]

time is how we perceive one of the expressions of the infinite point... a constantly changing potential...where the beginning and ending of eternity intersect...

...hmm... Ritual is one of mankind's subconscious modes of attempting to magic the universe... following the principal of once connected always connected... we attempt to lock reality into a state that we are comfortable with... it doesn't really work...but... it feels good...

... sigh... so true... I should try to incorporate more of the spirit of smoke into my figures... I can still remember fluid motion...well almost... well enough to fake it anyway...hmm...

celci0r In reply to Dragonforge [2015-06-05 20:45:09 +0000 UTC]

Well you can start with the body?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonforge In reply to celci0r [2015-06-05 22:02:57 +0000 UTC]

I mostly work in layers...as with "060515Ritual"... I didΒ  the five frames that make up the background...then did the Larger figure doing minor modifications of that for successive frames to show movement..."The more frames and the smaller movement the smoother the motion...but... the more frames the quicker my poor OLD computer crashes"...sigh...also the more work..( and I am officially a lazy old fart.)...I originally did over twice the (18) frames for the large figure but erased the extra...then I basically copied those flipped them and shrank them down to be the smaller figure...the fireΒ  was much the same... the stiffness of the bodies ...now that my monkey brain has had a chance to chew on it a bit... I believe has much to do with the total non movement of their legs... a little arm bending wouldn't have hurt any either... but again ... most rituals are by their very nature stiff and unnatural... an attempt to simplify reality in order to control it... ... probably... the best thing to do would be a new figure ...Dervish dance style... 18 frames would be an interesting venture?....oh yes...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

celci0r In reply to Dragonforge [2015-06-06 06:35:14 +0000 UTC]

What you could do for the bigger figure is make her go back a bit then make her bend slightly to give a bit more motion, as for the smaller one you could make him lean backward and sort of lunge his hands slowly to uh you know..

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonforge In reply to celci0r [2015-06-06 16:30:33 +0000 UTC]

...Yes...perhaps I should do this image over in its original conceptual configuration...a lot more complicated... sigh... "Sometimes being a lazy old fart makes me tired"...but...the journey IS the thing...
