Heres a sneak peak of my character i havent posted at all, so its a complete surprise. Iv gotten a million times better at foam bases. Tell me what you think. If i do open for custom bases depending on if people think i should, ill only take one ATM. Im very busy, so i feel bad if it takes me a while, which it does. This will be a base like this only without eyes. Over the weekend i made it, it took a day without the ears, then another to make the ears and attach. But sinc im busy withstandardized testing coming up, if i open im going to require at least 2-3 months/6-9weeks to complete. Sorry, thats the only way ill accept.Now onto prices
a base like this with no eyes or ears $60
A base like this with no eyes, but ears attached $75
A base with toony eyes and ears $85
a base with resin eyes and ears $100
Ill probably require half of payment upfront. Shipping Is depending on the weight of your item, so expect 10 or more.
Again this isnt final, i just want to see how many people may be interested.

Well I'm not currently taking commissions and you'd obviously have to pay. This post was forever ago and it was asking IF I should take commissions, I never stated that I was.

Sorry this was a while ago and im quite busy now that school is going and i really donthave the time or money for foam bases. I probably wont be making foam bases anymore because ive switched to resin, and i never really officially opened for commissions.Β

I completely forgot about that post lol XD actually the slots are temporarily closed due to some financial issues, but probably in a few weeks i can make your base. I just finished furring that base in the photos, so once i get him sold and finished up ill show you it as an example

Im not officially open, if you read the description only because i would need quite a bit of time to do it, especially because ive never drawn or made a rat before. Ill look into it and get back to you if i feel i can do it. I could probably do a half payment plan. But if the second half isnt payed to me when and if i post pics, i cant send it to you. I MIGHT be able to do it. I have testing coming up and very limited time to cast eyes and everything. Im not the best painter with eyes, so i normally make them just flat colored if thats okay with you, but i can do following. Since ive never done the species before, i would probably do 100-120 depending on how it turns out. I know there arent too many rat bases. But it will probably be closer to 100 as the description says.

Yup. Ill work on it as soon as i can, but it wont be supe speedy. Because it not a commmission yet, it will take up to the amount of time in the description, (2 months or so)so ill try to work on it in my spare time.

They're for the head of fursuits (they're basically mascot costumes). Some people have trouble making the base so commissioners are the next best thing :3

Hey, what is that plastic stuff used as the base before the foam called? And where can I get it?

The plastic is not used here. This is all foam. the plastic you're thinking of is resin. Dreamvisioncreations uses it in their bases rhat they sell. I wouldnt reccommend making your own if youve never done it before, but it consists of several steps. Sculpting out of clay what you want the mask to look like, painting several layers of silicone rubber over it, making a hard plaster "mothermold" ove the silicone to hold it in place, and then removing it all, assembling the silicone in the plaster mothermold, and pouring liquid plastic into it. I would not reccommend it first unless you work with it before so i reccommend buying a premade base from . They have many species to choose from. The materials to make one yourself cost more than it does to get one premade, so id reccommend that to get used to working with the material. Hope that helps.
