He needs the armor for that scale... he's not some absolute god or full blooded deity. He's human, he can be killed, he's not entirely unstoppable. He's just peak human outside the armor, planet buster within the armor, and galaxy+ in his deity form. It simply takes low level supernatural figures - secondary cosmic entities to do the job whether in human or (novice) deity applications.
