And now another favorite of mine, the Brute Wyvern Barroth!

Brute Wyverns in general are probably my most favorite species of monster from the series, mostly due to the fact that they resemble theropod dinosaurs. That and they're pretty fun to fight from my experience (except when they're squirming so much on the ground that you can't cut their tails. RRRRRGHH). Out of the ones with explosive fists and pickle tails however, Barroth here's my definite pick outta the lot. It's a giant, orange bulldozer who just runs over anyone who gets in its way! And when it isn't doing that, it's simply chilling out by the watering hole with a mud bath. Surprisingly, despite its fearsome appearance, the thing eats primarily insects instead of raw meat. If I were to complain about anything, it'd probably have to be the fact that Barroth's name is similar sounding to another monster from the same generation, Barioth. People tend to mix them up often, so I'd have to blame the localization team for that one.

Like the other Brute Wyverns who didn't come back in MH4U, I miss Barroth's presence on the hunt as well. I am grateful its armor is still accessible through the Wycoon, however. Hope it returns in the next generation!
