Description An icon of a chestnut-sided warbler for a friend of mine to use for stationary. She used to study the little buggers for her dissertation work, but has since moved onto other birds. Bleh, my birds need a lot of work.

Very nice icon. I'm not sure I've seen this particular bird before. Where do they live?

Aw....!! Man, if I could do this sort of illustration, I would be beside myself. This is astoundingly gorgeous! The level of detail in the ink, the pose, and the beauty in the different ink weights that make up this bird, along with the subject matter in any case... man. Absolutely beautiful. Keep up the fantastic work!

D'awww, thanks, Leccathu! What a sweet and encouraging post ^_^ You know, I reciprocate what you wrote every time I look at your pencilwork. Your art is a constant inspiration!

I really enjoy working with ink - I'll be picking up some fancier pens sometime soon, so expect more line art to come

Ooh, fancier pens, eh? I'm excited to see what will come up next!

That's nice of you to say, as well, about my art - I guess we can inspire each other! I gotta say, though, that pen work would instantly go on my wall if there were ever prints of it. ^w^ This can really be a successful icon for its intended purpose as well - the line weight is easily readable from afar but so chock full of juicy detail that it can't be passed up to look at. XD Then again, I may just be a sucker for detail, hee hee.

Keep up the beautiful work!
