Lately I was a little bit frustrated with my skills and especially my time-consuming technique doing digital art. Not saying that I lost the passion in digital painting. Quite the opposite, I eagerly want to get better, but just ended up being impatient with myself. Not cool at all I know. *laughing*
That's why I took little break from my computer and worked more traditional this year. Some of my sharp watchers may have noticed the lack of outrageous digital pieces. ;'>
But right, right. Now I'm back again with my tablet, lots of power, motivation and tons of patience. <3 XD My technique is still utterly slow and unrefined. But I'm working on that. My pace though. |P And another reason why my break is over now.
I missed going overboard, I missed the ease of mind when working hours, days, weeks even months on a picture. I missed the satisfaction after having finished it and the feeling of being proud of yourself. I missed it all. ♥

So yeah after stating that let's finally talk about the actual picture here. |D
It's a fanart of the manga Liar Game and some love for and its small fandom. I really enjoy reading this series and planned to do a picture with the protagonists Nao Kanzaki und Shinichi Akiyama for quite some time already. u//v//u Also I used my never-ending optimism to practice some things. Painting different kind of materials, textures of surfaces, folds in clothes, working with less eye popping colors and again semi realism. I wanted to let them look attractive keeping their distinctive features and fashion style. Well I think I did a good job here. XD *takes Akiyama home*
Altogether I got to learn quite a lot of new things and am really happy with the outcome. In many other ways this picture is step forward in my opinion. Also a welcome change in my gallery regarding the atmosphere. Let's see how things will go on the rest of the year. I'm looking forward to it and thank you guys for still sticking with super lame improving me. ♥ ;v;
