Sparkz and Gloyd took it in turns knocking on Digi`s door. They had seen him returning home from where ever it was he went and wanted to check up on him. Tekz again opened the door and let them in. Sparkz thanked Tekz and Gloyd called upstairs, “Digi, please come down!”. Upstairs in his room, Digi heard his friend call and got up from his bed. He took deep breathes and cleared his eyes. He slowly walked downstairs. “Spark, Gloyd. Hello, Im sorry for how i acted back there” He chirped as he emerged and walked into the kitchen, pouring himself some cherryade.” Can i get you a drink or something?”He asked. Sparkz shook her head “ We`re good, thanks anyway” She replied. “It wasn`t your fault” Gloyd spoke and put his hand on Digi’s shoulder, re-assuring him. Sparkz took a moment to look at the two and paused slightly. She had never realized how almost identical the two were by facial features and height. She smiled, It was great to see her boyfriend working to make others happy. “lucky for you, bubble dumped him!” Sparkz smugly spoke while Digi was half way through a gulp of his drink. Digi almost spat his drink back up but manage to jolt forward and gulp it down instead. He did NOT just hear what he thought he heard. He placed the glass down and looked seriously at Sparkz. Digi spoke, each letter in the word moulded into each other as his speech was quick, “WHAT?”. Sparkz hesitated. Then, again looking smug, she replied, “i said...bubble dumped swizzle!”. Gloyd joined in, “i think you need to focus more Digi” he joked. Digi stopped dead in his tracks as his legs became weak. He almost collapsed with confusion. Digi sat on the kitchen counter and looked at his friends. As he spoke his eyes glistened with amazing light ,“ She did... That means ... I have a chance?”. Gloyd and Sparkz whispered to each other. `I think....he's ok`, `yeah he's good~`. Bugxel, Sparkz pet made a combination of cute bleeping and static. Sparkz smiled as her pet talked, she turned to Digi “bugxel said, good luck with your chance with bubble!”. Digi quickly arose in a panic, If now was his chance then now he must show her what she means to him! “i gotta go make sure she`s ok! Sorry, I have to go like now!”He franticly spoke as he dashed out of the front door leaving His friends to lock up!Instead of taking his kart Digi ran to the Digi-hero`s home. When he got there he was exhausted and out of breath but that didn`t matter to him. He banged his fists on the door desperate to be heard. “Hello, Someone open up, please” He pleaded.
A tall man opened the door, He was defiantly not Gloyd`s dad! He had fierce facial features that blazed like fire yet gentle soothing eyes like crashing waves. Digi could easily guess who he was the father of! The man stared down at Digi for a few moments. His eyes may have been gentle but Digi could feel them piercing into his code and honestly it frightened him. Finally the man spoke, His voice was deep and distinct.” hello, im bubble and boiler's farther! my name is lava, why are you here boy?”He asked. Digi looked up at Lava. He felt fear immobilise him, He stammered over his words, If this was his crushes father he would need to give a good first impression! “I heard Bubble was upset sir... I`m Digi... I was worried so came as soon as i heard” Digi replied as he began looking down. Digi’s face dropped as he got a reply from lava that he didn`t want to hear “ sorry, but bubble says she only wants to see Rancis for some reason.... “. Behind his father Boiler walked past, “Rancis is one of those relationship problem solvers dad...”Boiler added. Lava turned to his son and lifted an eyebrow, “Oh yeah?”. Boiler sighed, “Dad, Just let Digi see bubble already”. Lava seemed to hesitate, he didn`t like being told what to do by his son of all people! Now it was Lava`s turn to sigh ”fine, go on in Digi!”. Digi’s face was hit with shock and happiness as he bowed his head and walked in. On the way upstairs he caught up with boiler. They high-fived and Digi felt special. It was a nice feeling. Digi reached her Door and knocked. The door creaked open from the pushing force of the knock, “Bubble~ Hello? Its me, Digi~” He whispered as he entered. The sight that met Digi`s eyes almost sent him into tears. Bubble was curled up crying into her pillow. Rancis looked over as Digi entered, He seemed relieved that the digital Hero had arrived.” Digi!”He exclaimed” Thank goodness your here, I`ve tried all my methods but they wont work!”. From beside him Razor carried on his sentence, “She`s completely heart broken”.

He reached his hand under her long golden hair and began to softly rub her back in hopes of making her feel better, He quietly whispered to him in a calming tone “Bubble?~ Please, Im sorry. Please stop crying....”. Bubble seemed to react to Digi, She sat up to everyone’s surprise. Razor was first to say it, “Bubble. You ok?”. “i-im fine, i-im just g-gonna go k-kick swizzle's a-ass” Her voice was shattered from pain, tears and anger instead of her usual angel like vocals, and this upset Digi further. Rancis moved for the door just in case she tried to escape. “no way! we've had enough trouble!” He warned her. Digi grabbed Bubble`s hands in his own and as she faced him his cheek burned blazing red. “Bubble..”He whispered. Digi let go for a moment and uncontrollably lovingly hugged her. At this Rancis`s jaw was hanging open with dis-belief, Luckily Razor closed it for him! Bubble spoke to Digi, whispering softly. Her voice was still shattered. “swizzle i-is a b-big asshole! i-im never s-speaking to h-him again!” She said. “Bubble, I know he is. At least his insults were never aimed at you! He was trying to protect you because he loves you” Digi whispered back into her ear as he released the hug and went back to holding her hand,” and....and....and..” Digi`s nerves kicked in and Digi found himself unable to say what he needed to! “well i dont love him....anymore” She proudly spoke not realizing Digis nervous acting. Lava appeared in the door, “children, its time for all of you to go home” He announced. Rancis and Razor began to leave but Digi refused to move, He held Bubbles hands with no intention of letting go. Digi closed his eyes tightly “Bubble... I.....I....I...I...” He still couldn`t get the words out, But he had too! time was running out; Its now or never, live or die!
Lava started to get angry “look Digi, bubble needs some sleep....”He angrily spoke. Rancis and Razor stopped at the door in front of Lava. Bubble really didn`t want her father mad at Digi, “just please go Digi.....” She pleaded. Then it happened, Something snapped! Digi swallowed all his fear. He moved his face close to Bubble`s and leaned in. He kissed her on the lips quickly. Even if it was for less than a second time paused and the moment seemed to last for minutes. It printed over the painful memory that Digi hated so much. Her lips were sweet and Digi hoped it was the same for him, that he wasn`t a bad kisser, As to say! ”And i love you, that's why he was always targeting me.”Digi admitted as he let her go. He let go of her hands and they flopped down as Bubble just sat there, frozen in the moment! Digi walked out and left for home. As Digi exited he heard lava growling at him. He heard Rancis talk to Lava, “its better Digi than swizzle, Mr Blast.”Digi nodded as he left the house and began walking down the street, Rancis was hell right! On the way he looked to the sky and remembered that split second. He had finally done it! But now he worried if she was ok with him! He got home and went up to his bedroom. He got changed in the bathroom and then laid down in bed. What a day it had been! It was well past 11:00 now and honestly the kiss had drawn all breath from Digi and all he wanted to do now is dream. He turned to Tekz, who was curled up in her bed. “Well Tekz, i did it. I finally told her... But i think i upset a lot of people..... “Digi sadly spoke to her. Tekz stood up and jumped onto Digi`s bed. She forced her way under his arm and laid down. Digi stroked her and began to explain everything, describing how immensely beautiful the moment their lips met was. He may have been over exaggerating quite a bit but he didn`t care and nor did Tekz. She just glowed with warmth, Proud that her owner was happy. The combination of the pleasant heat Tekz provided, having someone to talk to, Bubble`s scent still slightly noticeable on the pillow and the bed being comfortable that eventually drifted Digi to sleep where he dreamed sweet dreams all night.
